6.   Flooring: Do not use carpet in your kitchen. Utilize hardwood flooring in a color that matches your cabinets.
7.   New cookware: The beauty of the kitchen utensils, pans and tools, are as important as your static design. Buy nice stainless steel pots and pans, and color coordinate your towels and pot holders to fit the room.
8.   Heated flooring: Cold toes on a winter morning may help wake you up, but it is still a jarring experience. Consider purchasing heated ceramic floors.
9.   Plants and herbs: Adding plants or herbs to your kitchen gives it more of a natural organic feel. Decorate with plants that can be utilized for cooking as well, such as basil, marjoram and oregano.

Question by cutemom: Please can you help me get out of my lease at my apartment?This is long?
This is going to be a long one...Sorry... Iive in an apartment in Gahanna Ohio. I have been here 3-4 weeks. It is the worst place ever. I need help getting out and need to know my rights. I can not afford a lawyer. I have had problems since day one here. I have never had my own apartment so I did not know my rights or what to look for or how things worked. I did not get a walk through, when I moved in I could only open 2 of my 4 windows, The place was really dirty! It had dry wall dust, regular dust and bugs, it had food in the dishwasher, It had food in the oven, the cabinets were gross, my air did not work, The utility room was REALLY gross with cob webs and screws and bugs and instalation in it, I could only use 1 out of the 3 plugs in my kitchen, my dishwasher would not close, there was a big hole in my closet door, there were scuffs on the walls, there is a water mark on my dinning room ceiling, there is trash all over the outside of the complex, I was told that there were to be no charcole grills on the patios and people use them everyday, There are semi tires and a shopping cart laying outside, There are peices of wood and instalation laying outside, There is uncleaned dog poop outside, I have had to call the security guy almost everyday since I moved in here because of the people upstairs, They play there tv and radio so loud I can't hear mine all hours of the day and night, they let there dog jump on me and wont remove it and they have trash all over there patio that is leaking onto my patio, and the stomp so hard and loud that they knock my pictures off the walls, My kids fall every time they walk in my houose because The complex put armeral on my floors to make them look shiney, My upstairs neighboors toilet over flowed and came through my register vent with water and pee it took them 3 hours to come and stop the leak and fix it and they did not care that my 6 year old had to pee and would not offer him a restroom and all they did was put in a new rigister vent and not clean up the pee, my bathroom smells like pee even though I cleaned it because it is in my ceiling, And there is more.....Oh yeah and the worst part...I was gone for the weekend and when I got home someonen had been in my home because my blinds were open and someone had been on my patio because there is a ciggerette butt in my daughters cement foot print. I called the security guy and he did not seem to concerned!!
The manager had the air, one screen, the plugs and a few minor things fixed but the rest are still bad! Please help me how can i get out of my lease??? Please help me

Call the health dept., get a written opinion from them and if they deem it unlivable MOVE! If taken to court present your health dept. report.

Take LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of pictures of all these problems and if you feel confident with your evidence MOVE out and when taken to court show the pics.
